Hi and welcome to the Immaculate High School Class of 1986 Blog,
I've set this up so we have a place to communicate about our upcoming reunion.
As of 10/6/2006, the reunion will be June 9, 2007 in Danbury. Details to follow.
Julie DeLuca is looking for contact information for any classmates that didn't receive her email of 10/6/2006. If you know somone who didn't receive it, please ask them to send her an email at: juliedeluca at snet dot net.
If you'd like, please add a comment to this blog with some information about what you've been doing for the last 20 years.
Thanks,
Chris Curtin (ccurtin at mindspring dot com)

Hi there!
I live in Bethel, CT (soon moving to Boston, MA) with my husband, Gerry. We've been married for seven years. I work in Research Computing for Schlumberger, an oilfield services company, where I get to work with cool, cutting-edge technology like supercomputers, Linux clusters and grid computing.
When I'm not working or traveling for work, I like spending time in my garden, cooking gourmet food or reading.
Looking forward to seeing you at the reunion!
Roberta
Hi,
This is great. I will add my .02 worth. I live in the San Francisco Bay area with my wife and 3 kids (2 boys and a girl). We have a website that you are welcome to take a look at: www.mainsport.net
I am a golf course superintendent at a very busy public golf course. I also am involved in our church, the kids various sports (coaching baseball!), and when I have a spare moment I like to tinker on my Jeep. It is a never ending work in progress to make it strong enough for the famed Rubicon Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
I am looking forward to catching up with everyone. I can't believe it has been over 20 years.
Cheers,
Chris
Thanks, Chris for setting this up. Great idea.
I've been living out in St. Louis, Missouri for the past 14 years or so. Before that...all over (SC, AL, TN, OH).
I was a reporter/editor for a few years after college, abandoning that line of work when I had my first daughter (almost 12). I now have another daughter (8) as well.
After recovering from my journalism days, I set my sights on my true love--writing fiction.
In spring of 2005, my first mystery novel was released with a small size publisher and did far better than I could have imagined. Three months after its release, it was picked up by Harlequin's mystery line and produced in a mass market paperback form for their direct-to-consumer book club. That awesome news was followed, soon after, by word that, Jury of One, was an Agatha nominee for Best First Novel of 2005 (I'm pretty sure my feet didn't hit the ground for about a week after that phone call).
My second novel released this past spring and gave me an occasion to meet up with a few I-High alum at a signing I had back in New Milford. It was fun catching up with Ann Marie, John, Kevin, Julie, and Heather. Then, a few weeks ago, I received word that this book has also been picked up by Harlequin. It'll release with them sometime next year.
I'm working with an agent now, hoping to launch a new series with one of the bigger New York houses. We'll see what happens. It's a crazy, hair-pulling business. But it's what I love to do.
If you're bored, I've got a website: www.laurabradford.com. I've got lots of stuff on there, including contact information, so check it out.
I'll be back at IHS a week from Friday (October 20th) to talk to 5 different sections of honors English classes in the morning. Our own "Mrs. B" has set it up and I'm looking forward to it very much. I'm meeting Julie for a late lunch afterward, so if anyone's interested in meeting up with us...email.
Once again, a big thanks to Chris Curtin for setting this up. I'm hoping lots more 86 grads surface here soon.
Best wishes,
Laura
Hi Laura,
Thanks for the update! How did your presentation go? Who did you work with to set this up?
I've done a lot of mentoring of college students and done the 'career day' at my daugther's school for the last 7 years but I'd like to try to do it with the high school kids.
Anyone else interested in visiting IHS the Friday before to talk about out careers?
I know a lot of us aren't doing what we thought we'd be doing when we graduated. So anyone interested?
Chris
Hi All -
With the reunion coming up next year, I've talked to a few of you and it is so great to catch up after so long (although I still feel 18 :)).
After graduating from college, I worked in Corporate America. I met and married my soul mate, Vinny, and we now have 2 gorgeous little boys, Lorenzo 3 1/2 and Vincent 21 months. I am now proud to be a stay-at-home mom! I am actually busier now then when I worked full time, but I'm much happier at the end of the day.
I do have a part-time catering business and do primarily corporate parties, but I would love to eventually branch out and do more once the boys get older. I teach cooking in Brewster for their Adult Ed program, am currently the president for the Danbury East MOMS Club and work my health and wellness company part-time from home.
That's all for now. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.
Julie
Hi,
I have seen many of you in since graduation!!
I am living in Danbury with my husband Kurt and our two daughters Erica & Ashley. Erica is 12 and Ashley is 5. I was a stay-at-home mom for the past 5 years with Ashley but now I am back to work.
I am a buyer for a company located in Bethel, Ct.
Hope everything is going good for everyone and hopefully will see you at the reunion!!
Take Care,
Paula
Hi everyone
I'm living in Danbury w/ my husband, 10 year old daughter Courtney, and my husband's two sons, Sean,17, and Christian, 15. Both are actually attending IHS currently as a senior and sophmore. It's funny walking through the halls and reminiscing with my little one. Of course I don't tell her what she doesn't need to know!
I teach 4th grade in Bethel, and lead a ridiculously busy life.
Hope to see everyone @ the reunion.
Christine
Hi All,
Great to hear from everyone. I have recently gotten married and live in Tampa, Florida. I moved to Tampa in 2000 and love it. After high school I attended school in Massachusetts and lived in New Hampshire for a few years before finally migrating to sunny Florida. I still play hockey.... yes they have hockey in Florida! See everyone at the reunion! Looking forward to it!
