A Great Reunion!

I hope everyone made it back safe.

First, thanks again to Julie for putting this together. Everything was perfect and definitely better than being in a large room at a hotel somewhere!

So, here are my thoughts on the evening.

Stella, Karen and Julie it was great seeing your kids at the Mass. Sorry Christopher couldn't stay quite. When he wants to walk, it is pretty hard to hold him down. Oh yeah, Theresa, thanks for the comment. For those who didn't hear her, on our way up to communion she whispered, to paraphrase her 'like father like son, always disrupting something at Immaculate'.

For those who didn't make the Mass, the school hasn't changed much. They have won a lot more state sports titles then when we were there and now have boys and girls lacrosse which is cool. My daughter Courtney (9) was a little disappointed my locker wasn't there any more. They were all replaced with bigger, blue ones. Meghan (12) was typical tweener and not impressed with anything (of course her middle school is almost twice as large)

The mansion was wonderful. I really liked how intimate it was vs. a big room. We all fit on the porch or could go inside for a break. Of course, that black raised platform took out a few of us. Myself included.

It was nice to see everyone again. I was nice that some of the folks who missed the 11 year made it to this one. I heard from several people that a lot of others wanted to attend but had conflicts with events for their children. I'm glad all that ended here in Georgia a couple of weeks ago. A typical Saturday would have had us at the softball field.

So who came from the farthest away? I know Karen was from Washington, Chris Mains from San Francisco, we came up from Atlanta and there were a few people from Ohio. Anyone farther than Karen or Chris?

Finally, congratulations to Heather and the others who are expecting (or their spouses are).

The Flickr site is up, so drop me an email if you want the login to upload pictures. To view them go to: http://www.flickr.com/photos/8791440@N07/ Nothing there yet, but hopefully some one will upload soon.
So what were your thoughts?

Thanks,
Chris

I must say, when we were planning this reunion, I never imagined how much fun it would really be. Each and every person who walked through that door came with the express desire to have a good time reconnecting with old friends and no amount of planning could have made that happen. Everyone looked great! I feel very blessed to have shared this with everyone there. Meeting all the beautiful children at Mass was special.

I, for one, am looking forward to a 25th reunion - something more casual, but definitely just as much fun!! Thank you, everyone, for making the last 11 months of planning worth every second.

God bless, stay safe, and I'll see you again in a few years!!

Julie

I'm so sorry I couldn't be there, but I will thank Julie for all her efforts and Chris for posting the pictures. (even though I couldn't make it) It was nice to see everyone having a great time!
Now that I know there will be a 25 I am looking forward to it.
